I'm a cofounder of Sundial, a research lab building tools for scientists to collaborate with LLMs. Our first release is a collaborative LaTeX editor with task-specific models built in, used by scientists at top universities. In 2026, I've been thinking about the following questions: In 2023, I founded OpenPassport, a protocol to generate identity proofs from biometric passports in a privacy-preserving way. As AI-generated content floods the web, the trust that lets humans coordinate online is eroding. If we don't build new trust infrastructure that safeguards user privacy, permissioned systems run by large actors will fill the gap. When we started, the tooling for general-purpose zk-SNARK programming was immature, so we had to build many of the core primitives ourselves. We passed security audits and became the first team to achieve worldwide support for on-device zero-knowledge ID verification. OpenPassport was acquired by Self Protocol in February 2025 to keep pursuing its mission. I
