It’s never really been my role to be working in the tech industry and I knew that since I was at MIT spending all my time with the things I found dumpster diving in the e waste cage. I love picking at things and uncovering all the paths that didn’t survive because so often technology gets pigeonholed into some utility and I love trying to weave the nascent more experimental ideas back into the world. It always reminds me how shit doesn’t have to be like this, there are so many other ways, especially right now when we’re being presented with mostly dystopian future options. Like we could literally be storing data on spools of steel wire and could you imagine what would’ve happened to the world if we kept going with that and did none of the plastic stuff on magnetic tape? Thanks @chatgpt I totally would’ve touched the carbon tetrachloride LOL #Chat_GPT_Partner".
